Ex-boyfriend arrested for girls’ murder
North West police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the killing of two teenage girls.
The 19-year-old is facing two charges of murder after the bodies of the two women were discovered at the Stella High School hostel on Saturday.
Police spokesperson Amanda Funani says the bodies were discovered by the hostel’s matron.
One of the women was found hanging from the rails of the staircase at the hostel while the other victim was found with a string around her neck in the hostel’s bathroom.
Funani says the 19-year-old suspect is believed to be one of the girl’s ex-boyfriend.
The motive of murder is not known.
