Family appeals for 10-year-old’s safe return

Family and police are searching for 10-year-old
Katlego "Katli" Joja, who
went missing at her home in Mamelodi West in Pretoria
on Thursday morning.
Joja is autistic and cannot speak. However, the family says she responds to her name.
Her father, Sipho Joja, says Joja's mother noticed that she was missing on Thursday morning.
"They assumed that she was in the outside room with her grandmother or in the main house, only to find out she neither in the house or the outside room.
Joja says the 10-year-old is currently not attending school as she is on a waiting list at a local institution.

Police in Mamelodi West says a case was opened on Thursday evening.
The police’s Johannes Maheso says they started searching for the 10-year-old on Thursday and the search will continue on Friday.
Maheso says the police have no leads so far and would appreciate any assistance from the community to locate the missing child
