Five arrested for Vereeniging murder

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the husband and wife were murdered at their home in Vereeniging in January.
Police on Tuesday night found the five in possession of a Norinco handgun with 25 hollow point bullets, 30 9mm rounds and an extra magazine with 18 rounds that were allegedly stolen from the couple.
They were also found in possession of a shotgun, a toy gun, and other ammunition.
They were expected appear in the Vereeniging Magistrate's Court soon to face charges of murder and possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.
