Five men accused of killing an IFP supporter are expected to appear in the Durban Regional Court on Friday.
Mgezeni "Bhungu" Gwala, his son Mjabulelwa, Malusi Sibusiso Ncengwa, Nxumalo, and Bonginhlanhla Gwala are charged with killing Inkatha Freedom Party supporter Cebisile Shezi. She was shot dead outside the Thembalihle railway station in KwaMashu on October 6 last year, shortly after Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa addressed IFP supporters at a sports field.
She was wearing an IFP T-shirt at the time.Gwala was granted bail in November as, according to the prosecutor, there "is a strong possibility that the State's case against him might be in doubt". Ncengwa was granted bail of R2000 in December, when the prosecutor conceded the case against him was not very strong and that the State needed to "re-look at his involvement in this case".
