Former KPMG executives still on payroll
Updated | By Pieter van der Merwe
KPMG has told parliament the senior officials who left the firm in late September are still on the payroll.

The auditing giant today faced tough questions from MPs when it appeared before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA).
"We have a three-month notice period," says KPMG's new CEO Nhlamu Dlomu, "so they will not be in the employ of the company physically, they are no longer reporting unless they need to come and to provide any information on handover."
KPMG recently admitted to serious shortcoming in both its work done for the controversial Gupta family, as well as its investigation into claims of a so-called rogue unit at the South African Revenue Services (SARS).
While both the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) have launched investigations into KPMG, Dlomu proposed another probe.
She told MPs they want an independent inquiry by a lead figure in the "legal fraternity".
"It is our desire to provide assurance to yourselves (MPs), our other clients as well as the South African public that the work done by international as well as any other issues that may arise will be fully dealt with," says Dlomu.
A number of clients have already cut ties with the auditing giant since it announced the shortcomings in September.
