Four people killed in N4 crash between taxi, truck

A collision between a truck and a minibus taxi on the N4 between Middelburg and Emalahleni in Mpumalanga has claimed the lives of four people.
The two vehicles collided on Tuesday morning.
Spokesperson for the Community Safety and Security Department in the province Moeti Mmusi says taxi was ferrying commuters at the time of the crash.
“The crash happened just after 5am today. It was between a Toyota Quantum minibus and an articulated truck.
“The driver of the minibus and three passengers succumbed to injuries,” says Mmusi.
“Four other passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the nearest hospital.”
An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the crash.
