Fraud, corruption case postponed as ill Agrizzi remains in ICU
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
The R800 000 fraud and money laundering case against former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi and former African National Congress (ANC) MP Vincent Smith has been postponed to March.
Smith appeared at the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Thursday.
Agrizzi is still in intensive care in hospital after suffering a heart attack in October.
A second warrant of arrest for him was issued, however, the court and the state agreed that it will not be enforced until the next appearance.
Agrizzi's lawyer Mannie Witz says he is in no condition to appear before a court.
"He is still in ICU at the hospital, he is on bail and has specialists attending to him. His health is slowly improving but he has a long way to go. They are hoping to be able to discharge him in the next weeks if his health improves. He is a lot better, he is responsive but he gives us instructions.

"I am going to see him soon to bring him up to speed about what has been happening with regards to the court cases and everything else. But with regards to state capture we have not heard anything further because he is not yet in a condition to appear anywhere until he is discharged from hospital," said Witz
It was confirmed that Agrizzi has complied with an order that he provides for his property in Italy to the state.
