FS mom arrested after kids die from meal
Police in Free State have arrested a mother for deaths of her teenage children in Tseki near Phuthaditjhaba.
The boys, aged 15 and 19, were rushed to hospital after eating a cooked meal at home on Thursday.
Both teenagers later died in hospital.
Police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli says the 38-year-old woman was also rushed to hospital.
"On Thursday the two boys arrived home from school and ate food allegedly cooked by their mother. The two started feeling sick and were taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle.
"Upon arrival they were taken to an emergency room but lost their lives.
"The mother went home and shortly after her arrival; she was also rushed to the hospital with the same symptoms.
"Two cases of murder were opened, and the mother was placed under arrest while still in hospital."
