Former Transnet and Eskom CFO Anoj Singh has told the commission of inquiry into state capture that his former colleague Siyabonga Gamaimplicated him to save his own skin.

Singh was at the commission again on Friday testifying about Transnet.
Gama is the former CEO of Transnet.
He told the commission he once found Essa in a meeting with Singh at his Transnet office when he was still CFO.
Gama said Essa indicated he would like to have a meeting with him and would get his contact from Singh.
But Singh maintained that he only met Essa twice when he was working for Transnet.
He said the meetings related to business ventures Essa was interested in, but he told the commission he could not remember the exact details of their discussions.

Essa has been implicated in corruption at state-owned enterprises, specifically Transnet and Eskom.
He has also been fingered as the middleman for the Gupta family.
"Chair, I have no recollection of this said meeting with Mr. Essa and neither do I recall Mr Gama ever meeting Mr. Essa in my office. Mr Chair, you would have regard for the date being July-August 2015, if it was August 2015, I can tell you it never happened because I was at Eskom which leaves out July," said Singh
Another witness, former managing director of rail for Hatch Henk Bester, told the commission he also attended a meeting facilitated by Singh which was taken over Essa.
Hatch had worked with Transnet but had unpaid invoices and wanted a meeting with Singh who agreed.
Bester said at this meeting, Essa was invited without their knowledge and took over the meeting from Singh.
Singh had denied ever facilitating or attending such a meeting, he said Bester, like Gama, was trying associate their own meetings and links with Essa to him so they can avoid taking accountability for their own actions.
"Mr Chair I deny any allegation of corruption against me," added Singh
