The Gauteng Department of
Education will open its online system for late applications on Wednesday.

The department’s spokesperson, Steve Mabona, says application will be limited to schools that have yet to reach capacity.
"It is advisable for parents to be careful when selecting their schools. Upon completion of the application documents must be submitted to schools immediately."
He says placement will only be confirmed once all required documents are submitted.

"During the December recess, the online application system will be live and operating automatically, meaning that no officials will be available at the back end to assist with application. However, online tutorials and step-by-step guide will be available on the admission site.”
Mabona says parents will receive an sms with the details of the placement.
The department will not entertain any appeals around placement from parentsShow's Stories
