Gauteng Health ‘yet to receive’ report on Charlotte Maxeke fire
The Gauteng Department of Health on Monday indicated that is has not received any forensic report related to the fire at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
This follows the publication of an article by the Daily Maverick which claims to be in possession of a police forensic report on the cause of the blaze.
According to the publication, the forensic report that shows that arson was the cause of the fire at the hospital in April 2021.
The department's spokesperson Motalatale Modiba says they have not seen the report.
"GDoH has unfortunately not seen the so-called report and as such the department is not in a position to comment on it.
"The media is advised to confirm with SAPS if they have indeed issued such a report and to whom was the report issued."
