Gazetting of new regulations see return of sport, leisure tourism

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has announced the return of contact and non-contact sport under level 3 of the lockdown.

Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma gazetted the amendment to the regulations on Friday.
In a statement, Dlamini-Zuma said the amendments also include changes to the curfew times.
"The curfew is between 10pm to 4am under level 3, updated to allow movement for the purpose of the provision and procuring the services permitted in these regulations.
"Under these amendments, Intra-provincial accommodation for leisure is also permitted.”
Dlamini-Zuma said the new amendments continue effort to balance the saving lives and protecting the livelihoods.
"We should all continue to exercise caution and observe safety protocols including wearing of masks in public and social distancing, among others."
