On Monday and Tuesday Stage 4 load-shedding was introduced from 9 am to 11 pm, with the rolling blackouts reduced to Stage 2 due through the night.

Stage 4 is expected to be in place until Thursday due to a lack of generating capacity.

However, South Africans realised in February already that this might be a reality for some time to come.

Consumers whose electricity is supplied by Eskom directly, can visit their load-shedding schedule website.

Residents in Johannesburg can visit City Power’s load shedding site.

Pretoria residents can visit the City of Tshwane website.

Those staying in Ekurhuleni, can find their schedules on the city’s website.
