Helen Zille trawled on Twitter over Malema tea invite

Zille Tweeted an invitation to Malema to join her for tea as part of her podcast, Tea with Helen. She asked him to engage in a "no-holds-barred discussion on SA's future prospects."

Former Democratic Alliance (DA) leader and current policy fellow for the Institute for Race Relations (IRR), Helen Zille's invitation to Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema, to join her for tea was shot down on social media on Tuesday. 

Zille Tweeted an invitation to Malema to join her for tea as part of her podcast, Tea with Helen. She asked him to engage in a "no-holds-barred discussion on SA's future prospects."

Malema, however, was not impressed.

Twitter users had a field day with the responses to the thread. 

Zille was, however, adamant that her invitations stands.
