Human remains discovered in pit toilet at Limpopo school

A 45-year-old suspect has been arrested after the unidentified human remains were found in a demolished pit toilet at a school in Limpopo.
The gruesome discovery was made on Thursday in Ga-Riba village outside Burgersfort in the Sekhukhune District.
Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba says police started searching the school premises on Wednesday after receiving a rip-off.
The suspect was arrested after a thorough investigation.
"The remains are yet to be identified, and forensic investigations will determine the identity and cause of death," says Mashaba.
"The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest and urged the community to remain calm and allow the police to do their work."
The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Praktiseer Magistrates’ Court on Monday on a murder charge.
