The trial against 21-year old Nicholas Ninow, who confessed to raping a minor in the restaurant’s bathroom last year, continued on Tuesday.

The witness, who did not want to be named, told the court that she had to quit her job because of the trauma she experienced.

She said she was haunted by the words of the victim’s mother: “I trusted you with my child”.

“I could no longer cope, I was scared to go to the toilet. I used to doubt myself when I was tasked with registering children in the play area.”

The trial will resume on Wednesday when the victim is expected to take the stand.
