I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, says Pule's uncle
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Tshegofatso Pule's uncle has told the media that nobody should go through what his family has experienced with her murder.
Tumisang Katake was speaking at the High Court in Johannesburg shortly after sentencing was handed down to her killer Nthutuko Shoba.
"It's tough guys, I don't want to lie to you. It's tough guys, I don't wish it on any worst enemy of mine," Katake said.
On Friday, Shoba was sentenced to life in prison for Pule's brutal murder in 2020.

At the time of her death, 28-year-old Pule was eight months pregnant.
Katake says it's unfortunate that Shoba will not be held accountable for the death of the fetus.
"It's heartbreaking. It's so unfortunate that the legal system does not recognise the fetus as long as the fetus doesn't live outside its mother, they don't recognise it.
"It's a tough moment because just this morning we were talking that she would have turned two."
