Idols runner-up faces assault charge
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Gauteng police have confirmed that a case of assault has been opened against Mthokozisi Ndaba, who was crowned runner-up at SA Idols earlier in November.

Hillbrow police spokesperson, Mduduzi Zondo, says it's alleged that the incident took place on Friday.
"A case of assault has been opened. We are still investigating and no arrests have been made."

Pictures of the alleged abuse were shared on social media at the weekend. The images display the alleged victim's bloody lip and what appeared to be a chipped tooth.
Reports suggest that Ndaba was not coping well with loss of the converted title to Paxon Fielies.
Ndaba posted a video on Instagram 'dismissing the claims'.
