A complaint was laid with the IEC after the party’s president, Andile Mngxitama, encouraged his supporters “to kill white people”.

Mngxitama was speaking at the party rally in Ikageng in the North West last year.

IEC commissioner Mosotho Moepya said commission has met with the BLF to address its behaviour.

“We have clarified the things that concern us and we have been able to obtain a commitment from the party in relation to their registration as a party and their behaviour as a registered party,” said Moepya.

The IEC is also probing the DA’s billboard and its headline ‘The ANC is Killing Us’.

Earlier this month the DA unveiled a billboard with the names of the victim of the Marikana massacre, the Life Esidimeni tragedy and pupils who died in the pit toilets across the country.

DA blames the ANC for the deaths.

The billboard has received fierce backlash from the families of the Life Esidimeni tragedy, and a committee representing the families vowed to lay a complaint with the IEC,

“We are investigating the complaint and we have had a meeting with the parties concerned,” said Moepya.

Moepya was speaking at the commission’s headquarters in Centurion on Wednesday ahead of the final voter registration weekend.
