IEC to submit MP and MPL lists to Chief Justice Zondo

The Electoral Commission will today officially hand over the names of MPs and MPLs elected to the National Assembly and Provincial Legislatures.
The IEC, which declared the general election results free and fair on Sunday, is now moving to the next step.
The handover ceremony's scheduled to take place at 2 p.m at the Constitutional Court.
Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, who will receive the name lists, will then submit them to Parliament's secretary.
This process kicks off preparations for the first sitting of the National Assembly which must occur no more than 14 days after the election results are declared.
The Chief Justice will determine and gazette the date for this sitting.
