I'm not a dictator: Julius Malema
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has denied ruling the red berets with an iron fist.
Malema was briefing the media on the third day of the party’s elective conference in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg on Sunday afternoon.
Malema was reacting to claims that he has dictatorial tendencies after he was elected unopposed at the conference.
The EFF leader believes the reason he was re-elected unopposed is due to the fact that he “works very hard”.
"I don't take anything for granted, you give it to me I will work on it, and I will perfect it.
"I pay attention to the smallest things, and I know everything that is happening at the conference,” he said.
He added even his detractors have to admit that he is efficient in what he does.
"I come from nothing; I come from a domestic worker who had epilepsy, a single mother.
"I worked my way up here, single-handedly know I come from nothing."
Malema believes it is only those who cannot defeat him that calls him a dictator.
