JMPD officer dies after being struck by car
A Johannesburg metro police officer died on Thursday morning after she was hit by a car on Marlboro Drive in Sandton.
Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says the woman was directing traffic when the driver struck her.
"A female JMPD officer died this morning after being bumped by a car at the intersection of Malboro and M1.

"The officer was busy directing traffic when the female driver bumped her with a white Kia. The female driver has been arrested."
Minnaar says the driver will face a charge of culpable homicide.
