JMPD Officer lost to a multivehicle accident on the R21 north
The Ekhuruleni Metro Police confirmed that a 26-year old officer lost her life, after two vehicles collided on the R21 north, just before the Bapsfontein off-ramp.
She was declared dead on the scene. More details are expected, but for the time being, officials have urged motorists to use alternative routes as only one lane remains open.
Ekhurunleni Metro Police Spokesperson Tabiso Makgato said traffic is heavily backed up.
“Three lanes are affected with only one lane open."
