Kimberley hardware stores, contractors allowed to operate for a week
Updated | By AlgoaFM News
Hardware stores and registered contractors in Kimberley in the Northern Cape have been given the go-ahead to operate for a week after the area experienced heavy rain accompanied by hail on Friday.
This resulted in many homes and businesses suffering severe damage.
The Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structures released a statement over the weekend allowing these stores to operate until Saturday, 18 April.

This is to allow residents to repair the damages caused by the storm.
However, the provision is only for storm-related damages.
It states that businesses will be allowed to operate from 09:00 o'clock this morning until 2 o'clock this afternoon and again from tomorrow until Friday from 08:00 in the morning to 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
