KZN mother in court for kidnapping, murder of daughter (6)

A 42-year-old mother has appeared at the Umhlali Magistrates Court in Kwazulu-Natal for the murder of her 6-year-old daughter Alexia Nyamadzawo.
Fungai Nyamadzawo reported her daughter missing on Sunday after she claimed the girl was snatched from her vehicle in Shakaskraal.

Police recovered Alexia's body in a sugarcane field in Riet Valley on Tuesday.
Provincial National Prosecution Authority (NPA) spokesperson Natasha Kara says the woman has been charged with murder, defeating the ends of justice, kidnapping and perjury.
"She was remanded into custody until 10 June 2020 for a formal bail hearing to be held.''
