At least 13 killed on SA roads

Two major crashes have been reported on South African roads
this long weekend, says road traffic authorities.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation’s (RTMC) Simon Zwane says one of the crashes was in Touws River in the Western Cape.
Twelve people died when a taxi lost control and crashed into concrete culvert and eleven were taken to hospital.
“In the Northern Cape near Prieska, a petrol tanker overturn and one person was killed in that incident.”
Zwane adds about 1600 cars an hour have been reported on the
N3 to KwaZulu-Natal and about 2000 cars going past the Phumlani Plaza to
Limpopo.
