The woman, who is opposed to the campaign to ban pit bulls as pets, can be heard describing black men as being worse than the controversial breed.

She also insults black women.

The voice recording went viral on social media after it was posted on the Sizwe Kupelo Foundation Facebook page.

The foundation is one of the organisations calling for the pit bulls to be banned following a spate of attacks on children.

Speaking at the launch of the 16 Days of Activism against Women and Child Abuse in Soweto on Friday, Lesufi said the police are already on the lookout for the woman.

"When I woke up today in the morning, I received a message on my phone about a white woman insulting South African women, she says our mothers should stop giving birth because when they do, they give birth to rapists, thugs and animals.

“She continues to say black people are not people by animals and dogs' black people should be killed.

“I would like to apologise because I couldn't hold myself, as a first citizen of the province, I saw it fit to the police station and open a case because that woman insulted our mothers.

“She is disrespecting us, she thinks because we have forgiven them, we have forgotten what they did to us and our message is very simple, they might have oppressed our great grandparents and succeeded, they tried to oppress us, but we defeated them they will never oppress our children and our children's children in future, we will stop them," said Lesufi.

He added:" I am proud that after I have opened the case at Boksburg police station, four police vans went out to hunt for this woman and hopefully she will spend time in prison over this weekend and she can open her mind and know that non-racialism is the future, and no one can stop it.”
