Limpopo cop arrested for murder and attempted murder

A Limpopo police captain was arrested for murder and
attempted murder on Sunday morning.
The 55-year-old police captain is stationed at Modjadjiskloof police station where he was apprehended.
It is alleged the 55-year-old officer shot and killed a patron at his tavern at Makosha village in Giyani following a quarrel between the two.
It is alleged that he attempted to murder another patron.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Motlafela Mojapelo, says community members mobilized and stormed the tavern after hearing about the murder.
"Eight suspects were arrested for staging a violence protest that resulted in the torching of a number of vehicles and a building," says Mojapelo.
Police investigations are ongoing.
