A farmworker who went missing and was unreachable on his cellphone was found dead at George's Valley, Tzaneen, on Monday, Limpopo police said.
Maswazi Philemon Chaveni had been killed, apparently by stranger, and locked inside his shack, Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe said, according to a Sapa correspondent.
Ngoepe said Chaveni had not been seen for days and did not respond to phone calls from relatives.
"He was staying alone in the shack within the farm. Then today they decided to visit where he stays and found him dead in the shack with his hands tied at the back with a plastic rope," he said.
The motive for the killing was not known.
