Spokesperson Neil Shikwambana says existing policies state that the contracts of student doctors absorbed in January will end in December.
“Contracts are coming to an end at the end of this month because the contracts for community services universally are one year in the country.
“A new batch of students will be starting community services on the first of January in the positions of those contracts of those who are ending in December.”
Shikwambana says some of the student doctors will be absorbed into full-time positions.
