Limpopo Legislature mourns passing of Matshoge
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The Limpopo Legislature on Tuesday held a special sitting in tribute of the late Agriculture MEC Joy Matshoge, who died following a car accident on the N1 on Saturday.
Matshoge was also the ANC Women's League chairperson in the province.
Limpopo Premier Stab Mathabatha said Matshoge was a dedicated MEC.
"We have indeed lost a sharp brain that was committed to the building of a united, non-racial, non-sexist and prosperous South Africa. MEC Matshoge believed in the words of the Freedom Charter that South Africa belongs to all who lives in it and that no government can justly claim authority unless it is based on the will of the people," he said.
Maidi Monareng reports...
Matshoge's official funeral will be held in Modimolle on Saturday.
