Limpopo man in court for murder

The matter was postponed to January 19 for a formal bail application, Colonel Ronel Otto said.
Phillip Kgoantha, 22, faces charges of murder and theft after he allegedly killed his employer Susan Kotze last week. Her body was discovered on Tuesday evening by relatives, after they failed to reach her, Otto said.
"Police were called and when they broke into the house the body was discovered. It would seem as if she had been strangled with a wire coat hanger," Otto said.
Kgoantha allegedly fled the scene with two cellphones, a small amount of cash and Kotze's bakkie.
He was arrested at his uncle's home in Northam on Friday.
"The suspect worked on a nearby farm, but was dismissed earlier this month. He allegedly asked her for employment and she apparently agreed to let him perform small jobs around the yard," Otto said.
