Ninety-eight (98) illegal liquor outlets have been shut down by Limpopo police over the course of the last five days.
According to police spokesperson, Motlafela Mojapelo intensified operations by provincial police targeted the mushrooming of shebeens.
He says police also checked on the compliance of those outlets that are licensed.
"Twenty-nine (29) licensed liquor premises were charged for non-compliance", says Mojapelo.
"The Safer Festive Season Operations in Limpopo resulted in the confiscation of large quantities of liquor and the arrest of 380 suspects for liquor-related offences," he notes.
The arrested suspects will appear before various Magistrate courts.
The police have said they will continue to conduct inspections on licensed liquor premises to ensure compliance.
