Liqui Fruit batch recalled due to glass particles
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
The National Consumer Commission has announced the recall of a batch of Liqui Fruit juice after glass particles were discovered in the product.

The particles were found in a batch of the 330ml can containing Liqui Fruit red grape juice.
Manufacturer Pioneer Foods says an investigation has been launched into the extent of the issue, but a product recall has been issued as a precautionary measure.
NCC commissioner Thezi Mabuza says most of the cans are still at the various distribution centres.
"It is not yet known as to how many have been bought by consumers. Our agreement with Pioneer Foods was that a recall has been instituted immediately.
“What we have been informed is that bulks are still at the distribution centres and the recall is to alert consumers who have already bought the product to return it back and get refunded.”
Mabuza says all customers who bought the product will qualify for a refund.
"We are calling on customers not to throw it away but rather return it to the store where it was bought and even without a receipt they will be refunded.”
