LISTEN: Charges dropped against DA members following Sona protest
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile

DA national spokesperson Marius Redelinghuys and Cape Metro chair Shaun August were among those arrested during a protest in Adderley Street ahead of President Jacob Zuma’s address on Thursday 12 February.
A clash broke out between protesters and police.
Police attempted to disperse the crowd using water cannons.
August told reporters they were protesting peacefully and had no placards.
He reportedly said they had come to see what the president looked like, as they had not seen him for a year.
Redelinghuys says the withdrawal of charges vindicates their view that the charges were “baseless”.
