[LISTEN] Mercury to rise as first summer heatwave moves towards Gauteng

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) is warning of extreme heat, particularly over the weekend, as heatwave conditions make their way to Gauteng.
The SAWS' Mbali Maliage says: "Already for today we are expecting Pretoria to hit a maximum of 34."
She says the mercury will rise to 38 in the capital by Saturday.

Maliage says a heatwave advisory has already been in issued in the Eastern Cape.
