LISTEN: We want the land that comes with everything, says Malema
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has told supporters in Gqeberha that his party will keep on fighting for the redistribution of land.
Malema was on an election campaign train in the Eastern Cape on Monday ahead of the local government elections on 1 November
Malema said when white people took the land, it brought them everything.
“When they arrived here, they didn’t steal anything, they just took the land only, they knew once they have the land everything will come.
“So, we want our land that comes with everything, with a beach, with a sea, with dagga, with everything that belongs to the land is ours. Don’t ask us what we want to do with the land. We will see when we have one, we don’t know what we are going to do because we can’t imagine. We want to imagine it when we have it.”
He also assured the youth of increased job creation in EFF-run municipalities.
“EFF wants all of you to get jobs, whether you have matric or you don’t have matric, whether you have a degree or no degree because not all jobs require matric. Cleaning requires no matric, to cut grass requires no matric, to patch potholes requires no matric.
“We must hire you because many of you didn’t leave school because you are dunderhead. You left school because of the situation at home, you left school so that you can feed your families.”
