Lower Covid-19 cases and deaths, while recovery rate increases
There has been a significant decrease in new Covid-19 related deaths.
As of Sunday, 72 people succumbed to the deadly virus, bringing the number of total fatalities to 13 059.
The latest 24-hour report by Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, shows Gauteng has recorded 41 new deaths, KwaZulu-Natal recorded 12, the Eastern Cape has recorded 11 while the Western Cape recorded 8 fatalities.

The number of people who are recovering from the virus has increased, with the rate at at 83%.
Currently, the number of active Covid-19 cases stands at 103 303.
