Mahumapelo won’t go down without a fight – analyst
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
A political analyst believes the suspension of former North West premier Supra Mahumapelo won't weaken the African National Congress (ANC) in the province.

This comes after the province's disciplinary committee found Mahumapelo and acting ANC Women’s League secretary Bitsa Lenkopane have been found guilty of misconduct.
The pair were suspended from the ANC for five years.
The committee held the disciplinary hearings earlier this week.
Political analyst Theo Venter believes the decision by the governing party would not sway voters to vote for opposition parties in the province.
"The EFF has not done very well [in the by-elections], I'm not sure they have the ability in the North West or a strong following to utilise this opportunity.
"Same with the to the DA, the DA has not won one by-election in the last year and have lost the most Freedom Front Plus," says Venter.
He adds the North West is an ANC's stronghold province.
Venter believes Mahumapelo won't take the suspension laying down.
"Remember it is not a final decision, although he has been suspended there is an appeal process.
"I am sure the Supra Mahumapelo I know, would use the appeal process or the court processes."
