Malamulele residents vow to continue with protests
Updated | By Neo Motloung
The Malamulele Residents Association in Limpopo has vowed to continue with its protests until their concerns are addressed.
On Friday, the association shut down the Collins Chabane Municipality.
The association's Bejani Hlungwani says the community is concerned over the employment of unqualified persons to managerial posts in the municipality.
"They are hiring unqualified teachers to be officials. We felt that that is not good for our new established municipality,' says Hlungwani.
He adds hiring unqualified personnel will affect service delivery in the region.
Hlungwani says the shutdown of the municipality has been suspended until Monday.
On Sunday the association will hold a meeting with community members to formulate a way forward.
