Malema: Invoice the ANC for use of air force jet for Zimbabwe trip
Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema believes there was good reasons for a delegation of the African National Congress (ANC) to fly to Zimbabwe to meet with Zanu-PF.

The governing party has come under fire after it emerged that the delegation, led by secretary-general Ace Magashule, hitched a ride on an air force jet.
This public outcry has led to President Cyril Ramaphosa ordering Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula to provide him with a detailed report on the incident.
Speaking outside the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, Malema said the ANC should not have made use of state resources.
He said the problems facing South Africa's neighbouring country require urgent attention.

"And therefore, the leadership of the ruling party saw it befitting to go and interact with Zimbabwean leaders and find solutions.
"Anything that can restore sanity in Zimbabwe we will support it, but to use state resources as the leadership of the ANC I think it was irresponsible. But we shouldn't be too dramatic about it," Malema said.
Malema said the EFF will call on the secretary of defence to invoice the ANC for the use of a government jet.
"Going to Zimbabwe even under lockdown regulations is necessary, it is urgent and therefore it would be reactionary for anyone to say the leaders should not have gone to Zimbabwe.”
