Malema was speaking after a meeting between President Cyril Ramaphosa and the leaders of political parties represented in Parliament in Cape Town on Wednesday.

“As the EFF, we fully support the initiative of government and we call upon all South Africans to listen to the leadership of our government and do exactly as they are told,” Malema said.

“We also call upon all business people who are dealing with gloves, sanitisers and masks not to try and maximise profit out of this crisis.”

Malema added that the EFF has made certain commitments to the president.

“We…asked him to make sure that no one steals out of this disaster.

“We called upon the president to act decisively against anyone who would want to take advantage of this crisis and steal from the poor.”
