Malema: There is no plot against Ramaphosa
Updated | By Gaopalelwe Phalaetsile
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema insists there is no plot to oust President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Malema was speaking to his supporters outside the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria after his application to challenge the constitutionality of the 1956 Riotous Assemblies Act was postponed to December.
Hundreds of EFF supporters waited outside the court for Malema's address.
“There is no plot against Ramaphosa. That’s what all the ANC presidents do, they claim there is a plot so that they can misuse state resources. I mean, who can threaten Ramaphosa? Ramaphosa is even so scared of Zuma that he is even willing to pay for his (legal) costs.”

Last week, the Sunday Times reported that the African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Ace Magashule, ANC Women’s League president Meokgo Matuba, former North West premier Supra Mahumapelo, and other ANC officials met with former president Jacob Zuma at a hotel in Durban.
The meeting allegedly discussed a plot to remove Ramaphosa.
Malema believes President Ramaphosa is colluding with Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan to abuse state resources.
“I was accused of plotting with Bheki Cele, so I know how this plot thing works. Ramaphosa is paranoid and colluding with Pravin to abuse state resources. They want us to see Ramaphosa as a victim, but Ramaphosa will not last as the president. Those ANC guys are working day and night to remove him because you must remember, he won by a small margin, they use state institutions to settle scores.”
“Ramaphosa must know that if he wants to use the same dirty tactics of Zuma, then he will never have peace in that Parliament,” said Malema.
