Malema's assault case withdrawn: Report
Updated | By Staff Writer
A motorist who accused EFF leader Julius Malema of common assault has dropped the charges, Eye Witness News reported on Thursday.
Bernard Redelinghuys, 22, on Wednesday accused Malema and another man of assaulting him during an apparent road rage confrontation in Polokwane.
On Wednesday, Limpopo police said they were investigating a common assault case against Malema and three other men.
The Economic Freedom Fighters dismissed these reports.
However, police spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi was quoted saying: "It's not true that he was never investigated. The case was being investigated and then the complainant decided to withdraw the matter."
