Man dies after being trapped in waste bin

A man has died after he was reportedly crushed by a waste removal truck in Pretoria.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman says the man had been trapped in a skip bin.
The tragic incident occurred at a business in the industrial area, Andeon AH in Pretoria after 16:00 this afternoon.
"Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics were told that the victim had been working in the waste area when a waste removal truck arrived to empty the skip bins. At some stage the victim became trapped by the movement of a skip bin," Dollman explains.
He says the 48-year-old man sustained severe injuries and died before paramedics arrived.
Netcare 911 completed the relevant documentation pertaining to the man's death and handed it over to authorities at the scene.
The exact details surrounding the death will form part of a police investigation.
