Man dies in Benoni fire
A man died in a house fire in Benoni, east of Johannesburg on Wednesday morning, paramedics said.
"When... paramedics as well as firefighters arrived on scene, they found a room engulfed in flames," ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing said.
"Firefighters extinguished the blaze. Upon inspection, the body of a man believed to be in his 30s was found. He was declared dead by provincial paramedics on scene."
The cause of the fire was not known.
