Man dies in Khayelitsha taxi crash
A man was killed and 17 people were injured when a taxi and bakkie collided in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on Tuesday, said paramedics.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the taxi T-boned the bakkie.
Paramedics arrived to find found both vehicles in the middle of the road. The bakkie driver had already died, said Meiring.
The 17 occupants of the taxi were sitting around the wrecked taxi.
Their injuries varied from minor to moderate.
They were treated on the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
