One of the three accused in the racial attack at the Maselspoort Resort has been sentenced to 12 months behind bars or a R4000 fine.
Stephanus van der Westhuizen pleaded guilty to assaulting the two young boys on Christmas Day last year.
The incident relates to the assault of two black teenagers by a group of white adults at the holiday resort outside Bloemfontein.
Free State NPA spokesperson Phaladi Shuping says the 47-year-old man pleaded guilty on Monday to a charge of common assault.
Phaladi says Van der Westhuizen apologised to the children and their family, who accepted his apology.
He also apologised to the South African public.
The case against Jakobus Klaasen and Johan Nel was postponed to 3 July for consultations.
