Man stabbed to death in Joburg

A man has been arrested after another man was stabbed to death in central Johannesburg, Gauteng police said on Wednesday.
"It is alleged that the suspect stabbed a 35-year-old old male several times in the upper body at the corner of Eloff and Plein streets on March 10 [Tuesday] at 4.30am," said Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele.
Paramedics certified the man dead on the scene. The motive for the murder was not yet known.
He said a 22-year-old man was arrested at the corner of Rissik and Plein streets in connection with the incident on Tuesday at 9am.
He was expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
