Gauteng Social Development MEC Nandi Mayathula-Khoza is appealing to communities to be cautious, in the wake of this week's shack fire tragedy in Snake Park.
Mayathula-Khoza visited the Mokoena family, who lost three children when their shack went up in flames.
The three children, aged between 11 months and 11 years, were siblings.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but police investigations are ongoing.

MEC Mayathula-Khoza conveyed her condolences and vowed to support the family through this difficult time.
"We are also, as the Gauteng government, working together as departments to bring them the things they will need to bury their little ones. We will also provide things that will help them after the funeral," says Mayathula-Khoza.

Mayathula-Khoza called on communities to be more vigilant.
"They need to be cautious and be aware of what is happening in the house. They should never leave candles or paraffin heaters lit during the night," says Mayathula-Khoza.
The children will be laid to rest next week Thursday.
